Upcycle.
That is a term that I am going to bring into use more and more. Opening my cupboard one day and finding that I had one too many clothes but not the ones I wanted to wear made me upcycle. It all started with a simple cutting of my jeans to make shorts idea.
Scissors and I became best friends after that.
I up-cycled almost 15 pieces of apparel and truth be told, I have never been more satisfied with my shopping. It was not only a creative outlet for me, but it also gave me a greater impetus to not shop more.
I am sure that all the stylists and the shoppers are always on the lookout for that one cut, one particular way of styling that would set them apart. The perfect answer to that is upcycling. I up-cycled a 3/4 sleeve, normal length Cover Story top and truly made it mine in the process I guess.
One must engage and go back to their clothes, give them a new look and consequently, give themselves a new look. It’s a truth very well known that we all have a specific style and we want our coffees the way we want them, but since coffees are the storehouse of new ideas, therefore one must use that time to keep their head in the game.
This way you can enjoy the time that you spend in front of your cupboard ruminating about the next outfit because who knows what you might end up upcycling the next time.
One Irish cream coffee and an up-cycled outfit to go, please.
